History of Fatehpur

Fatepur is a traditional ancient town located in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district. One of Maheshpur Upazila's Union Fatepur and Union Parishad complex is located in Fatepur. The distance from Jhenaidah to Fatehpur is about 50 km. 3 km from Khalishpur Fatepur bus station to the west. The distance from Fatehpur to North is 5 km from Maheshpur Sadar. No proper proof of fatepur nomenclature is available. The next Elijah of Bengal was the Sultan of the Shahi dynasty Jalaluddin Abul Muzaffar Fateh Shah (1-5 AD), written in the book 'Tabakat e Akbari' written by Abul Fazal, was a wise and generous ruler. Fateh Shah reigned for seven years and six months. Greater Jessore belonged to his kingdom. During his visit to Parbhani Bengal, he came to Fatepur on the banks of the river Koptakha and stayed here for some time. From that place the place was named Fatepur. The word 'Pur' means a residential place. This is what I was talking about when I searched the field (1-5-20) I can hear from an elderly person. This information about the nomenclature of Fatepur seems plausible. Because the name of Sultan Fatshah is found in the history of Bengal. Since then, the place has been renamed Fatepur, and that is the name of Fatepur Mouza and Union Parishad. There is a government land revenue office of Fatepur Union. There is also a landless shelter. There was a market here in Pakistan, which was called hatshola. The road that runs from Kaliganj to Jivanagar (Chuadanga district) is half a kilometer. Fatepur Market is located to the south. The weekly hats sit here on Sundays and Wednesdays. Southeast of the Market | Fatepur Baur towards. There is a fish breeding center here.
In the middle of Fatepur Baur, a village exists on the island. The name of the village is Baremath. According to the local people, the name of the village is Baremath because of the water around it. The Fatepur Chatterjee family was known as a highly educated family in the region. During the British era it was heard that there were six judges in the family. After the partition of the country in the 5th, everyone moved to India. On the west side of the market at Fatepur Bakulatala, there is an old house on the banks of the river Kapotaksha. This house is also known as Chatterjee's house, and a house of Mukherjee is seen here. There were 3 engineers in this Mukherjee family. In Fatepur, there was a Kachari of King Krishna Chandra of the river. That's why this place is named Krishnachandrapur. The abandoned dwelling was turned into a landless shelter. Currently there are few landless families living in this house. There is a colony of Mohajirs from India in a place called Nimtala.
There are 5 educational institutions in Fatepur. Samasuddin Government Secondary School. (Placed-1). Fatepur Government Primary School and Fatepur Dakhil Madrasa (established - 20 years). Gajirannecha Lower Secondary Girls' School was established in the 20th. The founder of this educational institution was Fatehpur's Abdur Rahman. During the British period, Fatepur was a Hindu-headed village. Different types of puja-prabhan are being held here in the Maha Dham. Chaitra puja is celebrated here very early in the Chaitra Samniki. Every year, devout Hindus organize charade worship. During the worship of the charak, a large fan is thrown on the back of a devotee. On the 2nd Baishak, the chakra is rotated under the tree. Blood flows occur on the arrival of young Hindus from far away places. On the occasion of the puja, the fair sat for 5 days in Fatepur Bazaar. It seems a matter of pride for them. Charak Puja, which is used to turn blood on the body. Jhenaidah is not celebrated anywhere in the district. Only in Fatepur, the Hindus have kept this tradition for ages.
